YCA Dance Curriculum
Dance and Performance Movement
Young creative associates are introduced to a variety of dance techniques and genres. Classes will focus on dance technique and performance, body awareness, history of dance, elements of dance, train in improvisation, intermediate choreography, and dance critique and analysis. Associates are required to keep a journal documenting their learning throughout the year. The high school age creatives will experience a more in-depth study of the material within a full-year course. All dance classes require the associate to be properly dressed for dance and participation is imperative to the fulfillment and completion of this course.
